PyGamers Camp is a next-level game design and engineering experience.

Using the Arduino PyGamer handheld console, students build and program interactive games that run on an actual device complete with:

Buttons
Screen display
Sound effects
Motion and environmental sensors

Campers don’t just code on a computer they see their games come to life on real hardware.

What Campers Will Build

Throughout the week, students will:

Design and program original playable games
Learn how hardware and software communicate
Integrate sound effects and visual displays
Use physical buttons and input controls
Experiment with sensors and motion input
Debug and refine game performance

By the end of camp, each student will have built fully functional games that run on a handheld console.

Designed for students ready to go beyond basic coding and explore real device programming. Beginner-friendly, but ideal for curious builders and gamers.

Do students keep the device?
Yes! Campers can take home their programmed PyGamer device and games at the end of the week for an additional $30. This allows them to continue building, modifying, and expanding their creations at home.

Yes. Projects are scaffolded for beginners while still challenging experienced coders.

Students learn beginner-friendly coding adapted for the Arduino PyGamer platform, focusing on logic, hardware integration, and game mechanics.
